MEET THE FOUNDERS

After working as a pilot during World War II and flying an ‘Avro Lancaster’ bomber plane, Georges Wurs fled to Monaco looking for new endeavours. He befriended Dr Eugene Frezzati, a chemist specialising in cosmetics, and the duo went on to create Lancaster in 1946. They joined as an exclusive member of the COTY group — a manufacturer of luxury brands including Chloé, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Bottega Venetta — and the rest as they say, is history.
